We’d planned to spend the night and leave early, but the party right outside our room kept us from sleeping, so we left at 10 p.m. A heavy deodorizer smell gave me a headache as soon as we arrived, and we couldn’t air the room out because of the music next door. Reception couldn’t do anything about the smell or the wedding and suggested leaving our details for management to review. Nobody ever got back to us. We ended up sleeping in our car at a nearby rest stop. No discount, no apology, and management seemed not to care at all. That wasn’t what I expected after three earlier stays that had been fine.

One staff member was absolutely lovely when we arrived, but the rest of the stay was disappointing. The bed was fresh and clean; the rest of the room was filthy. Dust and dirt covered the carpet edges, there were spider webs in three corners, and there was poop or blood on the paint around the toilet door frame. The window frames were full of dirt and rubbish too. Skip breakfast: it was very basic, with no meat, vegetables, or fruit, just dried goods, one chocolate croissant, and poor coffee.

After a long trip, I arrived at 1 a.m. with my daughter and was told the hotel was full, with no room for us. The receptionist apologized, but this was after I’d booked through booking.com, received confirmation, called the hotel from home with questions, and been told my room was on the list and would be quiet. I’d also been told I could arrive at any time during the night. Luckily, booking.com was very supportive that night. This was chaotic and unacceptable from IBIS. Nulle!

As usual at ibis budget hotels, the food was good, and the place was clean and complete. The toilet door closes, but the shower door is a different matter and can’t be closed. The beds are hard, and the aico isn’t great, in my opinion below ibis budget standards. The employee speaks English.
