La Métairie du Moulin de Meusnes

There’s plenty of space, and the location works well for a visit to Beauval Zoo. But the layout was awkward for our group: no shared dining space, and the two tables for 6-8 were apart. Some rooms are scattered around, including one with its own outside entrance and no bathroom. There was no reception, just a key in a lockbox. The hygiene was questionable too, with sticky tables and dirty dishes. Fine for two days, but I wouldn’t stay longer. I don’t recommend it.

With plenty of room and beds for a family, this worked well for us. Being close to Beauval Zoo also made it easy to make the most of our two-day pass 🙂

The beds were good, which was a plus. We were 12 people, though, and sharing the toilet in the bathroom was difficult. The annex could use a few things to make it easier for four people to share: coat racks, a chair, some storage, a curtain by the sink for a little privacy, and a scraper outside the door.

A lovely, welcoming cottage, and it was big and clean too. Fantastic!
