Le Mitigana

Oliver opened the locked door for us at midnight and listened kindly while we explained why we needed somewhere to stay. Our cruise boat had a sewage pump failure, causing waste to overflow in the toilets, and no one was answering the boat's emergency number. With six of us needing a night's rest before returning the boat, we were desperate. Although there weren't many rooms available, Oliver quickly arranged three bedrooms and was very understanding about the charges. The rooms were modern, clean and comfortable, and the hotel is central and easy to reach. We're all grateful for the kind service and highly recommend the hotel.

Breakfast was generous, with a great selection of cheese and meat, a huge pain au chocolat, and a proper orange press. The chairs weren't comfortable, though they looked nice. The room was comfortable, and the bathroom was clean and modern, even if my room was missing a toilet brush. It's a nicely renovated hotel, just a minute's walk from the train station. The big new TVs have Netflix, but no internet access, so none of the smart features work.

We had dinner here one evening and it was delicious. The place was fully booked, clearly popular with locals. During our two nights visiting the Migennes area, we found the room comfortable, clean and quiet, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a fabulous selection. Highly recommended.

Great location, and the place felt comfortable. Everyone was very friendly, and the meal was excellent.
