Ibis Roquebrune Cap Martin

This place is a real gem in the heart of a small coastal city, especially for a budget hotel. The staff were the stars: some of the nicest people we met in France, and they made us feel welcome. One staff member in particular, a girl with dark hair and round glasses, was especially lovely. They upgraded our room and let us check in early. We'd stayed at some expensive hotels in France and were never treated this nicely. Definitely worth staying here.

The bed was extremely comfortable, and the rooms were clean in a well maintained hotel. Staff were friendly and professional. There's a small balcony. I arrived late and left early, so I was able to park for free on the street; paid internal parking is also available if you need it. The sound insulation between rooms isn't good. I wasn't making an excessive amount of noise, but someone was obviously offended by what I was doing and banged on the wall.

The hotel is extremely clean and well maintained, with underground parking available. Carnoles station is within easy reach. Every staff member I dealt with was efficient and very friendly.

The buffet breakfast was great, and it always tasted good. The room was clean, modern feeling, and well presented. From the hotel it's about a 10 minute walk to either Menton Beach or the train station, where you can catch a train straight into Monaco. There's also a Carrefor around the corner, handy for picking up a couple of drinks for the room. A peak 'does-the-job' hotel.
