The one bright spot was how friendly the staff were. That’s about it. The hotel is run down and needs work straight away. Our basic room was falling apart in places, and there were holes and stains on the sheets. There were no blinds or curtains, just a net, so sleeping was impossible. With no air conditioning and the temperature at 36C, we had to leave the windows open onto a buzzy street that parties until 2am. The shower was disgusting, with green, dirty seals. I know it’s a two-star place, but the basics should still be covered. This was the worst room I’ve ever stayed in. At €100 a night for a double, it wasn’t that cheap. I’m only giving two stars because the staff were so friendly, and I wouldn’t stay there again.

The location was great, though a bit noisy at night. We had an economical room that was spacious enough and had a shower. The staff were nice, friendly, and spoke several languages. There’s a shed where you can store bikes safely.

The couple who run it are very nice, and the location in Mimizan-Plage is fantastic.
