Hôtel restaurant le Torremare

The views of the tower and ocean are spectacular. We kept the balcony door open every night while we slept. It's a little place with only about six rooms, simple but renovated and very clean, and the restaurant was very good. We liked being away from crowded Bastia while still being just a short drive from the city and Old Town. The new owners, a wonderful young couple, made it even better. You can also use the beach lounge chairs right by the hotel for free. Perfect!

We left without eating. Around noon, we went to ask whether the restaurant could serve food then. The waitress said, “Of course we serve food. We are the restaurant,” and asked if we'd like panini. I said that would work. Only two of around 20 tables were occupied, and none had reservation signs. We sat down and waited patiently. When she came over, she asked if we had a reservation. We didn't, and she told us very rudely, nearly shouting, that we couldn't sit there and should go to the terrace to eat panini. The rudest waitress I've come across in years of traveling.

A great breakfast stop after getting off the overnight ferry. The continental breakfast was very reasonably priced, and the view is amazing for watching the sunrise. On a clear day, you can see Elba.

I only used the restaurant and the beach loungers, not the hotel, so I can't comment on the accommodation. You can use the shower with soap afterward. The restaurant service was very nice, and the quality was good for the price.
