La Lit'Hote

The hosts were so kind and welcoming, and the building itself is just as beautiful as the view. I’d gladly recommend this place and come back if I’m passing through Clermont Ferrand again. Funny to think some people still prefer the hotel 🤔.

The room is thoughtfully equipped, with perfect bedding, and breakfast is a treat, full of fresh, homemade food. It’s a lovely setting in the middle of nature, with mountain views, and the former presbytery has been carefully renovated for guests’ comfort. Marie-Pierre and her husband are exceptionally kind and always up for a chat. This was our second stay at this wonderful guesthouse, and we’re already planning to return.

What made the stay unforgettable was the warmth and good humor of the people running the place. They made sure we felt welcome throughout. The restored old building has plenty of little secrets to discover, along with tastefully decorated, very comfortable rooms and a spectacular view. It’s rare to find somewhere so beautiful with hosts this lovely. We’re certain we’ll be back soon.

We especially appreciated how helpful and friendly Marie-Pierre and Paul were. Their attention and kindness made it feel like we were staying with old friends. Françoise also came through with a last-minute table d'hôte, and meeting her was a real pleasure. All the best to them. We stopped at the Lit'Hôte while cycling through Auvergne and loved this magnificent place. Our Etc. room was beautifully decorated, and we fell for its original bathroom. Everything was just right, with nothing missing. The residence has a superb view of the Chaîne des Puys, and breakfast was generous, with local products. We’ll definitely stay here again on our next trip to Auvergne.
