Hôtel Chalet Le Panoramique

Olivier’s cooking was a real highlight. We’re vegetarian, and he made us such delicious meals that we felt completely spoiled. The whole place has a friendly, peaceful feel, and Branko and Olivier were attentive, kind hosts. I was ill during our stay, and they went out of their way to take care of me. The terrace is a lovely spot for a drink or a meal, with an incredible view. The hotel sits in a quiet village, while Les Deux Alpes and La Grave are nearby. Our room was modern and spotless, with nice eco-friendly details like fragrant handwash and shower gel. If you can, ask for a room on the terrace side. Everything was well organised, and we’ll definitely return.

Having a parking lot was a big help, since parking in these little towns can be tricky. The hotel also has ski storage with a boot dryer, and Alpe d Huez was about a 45-minute drive away, where I was heading. I had a comfortable stay and enjoyed the panoramic view the hotel is named for. Food and coffee cost extra, but they’ll provide a kettle if you ask. That worked well for the oatmeal and soups I brought along, as I’m gluten- and dairy-free and most places in France don’t cater to that.

Fred’s evening meals were creative and delicious, and Olivier made us feel very welcome. We had a lovely stay and hope to return to Olivier and his friendly team. Bravo!

We spent a week here as a family and had a great time. The Chalet is comfortable and charming, with a lovely landscape around it. Breakfast, made with local products, was excellent. Oliver was very kind, and the accommodation was very clean. Highly recommend!
