Hôtel de L'Océan

This is my regular stop in Moliets Plage. The staff are friendly, the prices reasonable, and the place has a calm, pleasant feel that they clearly look after. I love coming for the restaurant, coffee, and croissants, though I haven't stayed as a hotel guest since we got an apartment in Moliets. Their morning buffet is excellent, and the croissants are the best in town. Lunch and dinner are good too, with several places to sit: on the beach sand in lounge chairs, in the shaded garden, on the balcony watching people, or inside in the lounge or dining area. They're the closest lodging to the beach, and the patio faces the promenade, which is great for people-watching over coffee. The music is soothing and eclectic, with all kinds of tracks, but never irritating and always part of the comfortable atmosphere. Dogs are welcome too.

Good wine selection, and the prices are very moderate for this location. For food, try the cevice and the Cote de boef. The beef is excellent, easily enough for two, and well worth it. We only went to the restaurant, so I can't comment on the hotel. Thanks to the dearcteam of Grill ocean.

The restaurant is very good, and the rooms were clean and tidy. It's the first hotel right by the beach!

The staff at L'Ocean were incredibly welcoming, and the service was excellent. It's a simple, well-organized, clean hotel just 100 meters from the beach, with a fantastic outdoor restaurant. We had a fresh, delicious seafood platter with a crisp Chardonnay, a real highlight of our trip to France. You can't see the beach from the restaurant, so we went there after dinner to watch the sunset. It was a unique experience on that part of the Atlantic. The atmosphere was friendly and lovely, and our stay made the trip memorable. We'd highly recommend it to anyone wanting a pleasant, relaxing stay in France.
