The food was refined and delicious, and the welcome from the smiling, friendly staff made the visit even nicer. The setting is very pleasant too. I highly recommend it.

The dishes are delicate and beautifully presented, and it’s a very nice place. Prices are a little high, though I have to acknowledge that Covid hasn’t made things easy for restaurateurs.

We’d happily stop here whenever we’re in the area. Le Grand Monarque has a lot going for it, from the very affordable wine list and friendly service to the inventive menu. The local produce is excellent and prepared with real flair, and the terrace is pleasant with some shade.
