We came back in summer to celebrate my 30th with 30 of my closest friends, and Mike and Monica looked after everyone so well. The food was magnificent, and their hospitality was impeccable. Mike also suggested hikes that everyone enjoyed. I first met the place, and Mike, on a winter ski touring trip, when he took us in at the last minute and helped us find the best snow in the valley. There are some fantastic tours around here, with a few starting right outside the gite. Thanks, Mike and Monica. See you next winter!

The rooms are quiet and really comfortable, with thoughtful little touches like plants and books. We came for a birthday weekend in the mountains and loved the atmosphere and the views. The gite is ideally placed for exploring the area: we hiked toward Pic Blanc and did a via ferrata, with useful tips from Mike and Monica. The food was great too, especially Mike's chili if he's making it. Looking forward to seeing the place covered in snow next winter!

Mike's a great host, and also a chef, musician, outdoor enthusiast, and just a really good bloke. The views are unbelievable. This place is amazing in winter and even better in summer. Easily the best place to stay around here, highly recommended.

A comfortable, homely place at a fair price, with warm showers and a kitchen. You can also get home-cooked meals, and there's somewhere to park your bike. It's a great stop for cycle touring, close to Col du lauteret and Galibier.
