Our month-long trip had no warmer or more memorable stay than Chez Edell. Edell and John were so gracious and helpful, answering all our questions and sharing recommendations and maps. We loved having breakfast on their beautiful porch, and we still think of them often. Really!!

Chez Edèll is ideally placed for exploring Monpazier and the surrounding area, with parking close by. Its chambres d’hôtes and self-catering gîte both look like good options. We came in on a bitterly cold January evening and were met with the warmest welcome from Edèll and John. Our cosy room was lovely, with a spacious shower room, everything was impeccably clean, and the bed was very comfortable. In the morning, breakfast was a feast: fresh fruit, granola, croissants and pastries, yogurts, an omelette, strong coffee, and fruit juice. We’ll definitely be back, thank you!

The convenient parking location matters in this beautiful Bastide. We only spent one night in October because our itinerary was already full, but we could easily have stayed much longer. Edell and John have made a GREAT B&B, and their home and the town SHOULD NOT BE MISSED.

We loved the excellent accommodation, scrumptious breakfasts, and the good company and advice from Edell and John. Thank you both for a great stay. Your B&B is in a delightful town, and next time we’re in the Dordogne, we’ll be back!

Chez Edell is a lovely choice in Monpazier. The hosts were very welcoming, the room was lovely with a comfortable bed, and breakfast was fabulous. I recommend staying here without hesitation, you won’t be disappointed.
