À la Vieille École

The garden was a lovely spot to unwind, the pool was a welcome relief on hot days, and the view of the Pyrenees was breathtaking. It’s easy to see why we’ve stayed at B&B à la Vieille École for the third time. Suzanne and Raf are wonderful hosts. They and their children, Gust and Kamiel, made us feel at home right away. Our rooms were well furnished and had everything we needed. Each morning, a generous breakfast of fresh local produce was waiting on the outdoor terrace. In the evenings, Suzanne’s delicious cooking and the easy conversations around the table, including with the other guests, made the stay feel complete. Raf also knows the area so well, and his tips led us to some hidden gems. B&B A La Vieille École is a peaceful, charming place in Monségur, where hospitality and nature come together. We left with memories that will stay with us.

Raf and Suzanne gave us such enthusiastic tips for walks and outings, which was fantastic. In early September, we stayed with them and the kids at their beautiful B&B, "à la vieille école," in peaceful, lovely Monségur. Suzanne prepared a wonderful dinner and a superb breakfast, using fresh produce from their garden and the local area. We had a great holiday and will definitely be back.

Being able to eat at the B&B in the evening was a lovely bonus. We could just put our feet up and enjoy the meal. Suzanne and Raf made it a stay to remember, with clean rooms, pleasant chats, delicious breakfasts every day, and helpful ideas for outings. They’re lovely hosts, and thanks to them we got to make the most of our summer holiday last year.

We’ve already stayed with Raf and Suzanne twice. Our previous visit was in September 2021, and we enjoyed it so much that we knew we’d return. The warm welcome made the reunion feel like catching up with friends we’d missed. The coziness, calm, hospitality, and willingness to help all made this a dream spot, along with everything the region has to offer. A place we’d gladly come back to.
