The sofa bed wasn’t comfortable for me at six feet tall, and my feet touched the end. I also found it tough with my bad back and limited mobility. I’d come again, though, and bring extra cushioning. Flying meant I couldn’t bring much, but it’d be easy enough if you’re driving. The place is right by the main lift and the main street, with shops and restaurants just a couple of minutes away. Our room had what we needed, including a private bathroom, balcony, kitchenette, small table and chairs, sofa bed, and plenty of storage for two big suitcases and our clothes. Bring your own towels, plus a smaller one for the kitchen and cleaning up. They only leave one roll of toilet paper and don’t replace it during your stay.

We left after six days with the lamp still broken. We reported it at reception, were told a repair person would come the next day, and later heard it had already been fixed, which wasn’t true. They promised to sort it out the following day, but nobody came. When we checked out, the woman inspecting the room said she’d notify the repair person again. It was never repaired or replaced during the week. The cold was another problem. It was about 12°C in the room on our first night, and it took a full day to get to a reasonable temperature. They charged 50 euros for each extra blanket. There was such a gap around the balcony door that wind came straight in, or ice filled the space. We tried using the curtain as insulation, but it froze to the door and window from inside. The place was dirty everywhere, from the floor and walls to the kitchen counter and toilet. When we complained, reception said it was just old, not dirty. The bed was uncomfortable, there was no dishwasher despite what booking.com said, and the ski storage was old and always below 0°C. Twenty others in our group had similar problems that weren’t fixed, or took a week to try to fix. We were all deeply disappointed. Avoid this hotel if you can.

We were charged a £400 deposit, and none of it has come back. The room was a tiny box, supposedly a twin, about 2m x 2m, with a small toilet and shower room. We couldn’t even open our suitcases properly. They’re strict about cleaning when you check out, yet the pots, pans and utensils were dirty and needed washing before we could use them. Absolutely horrendous. Take your money somewhere else.

The best bits were the hot shower and being close to the Jandri Express 1 gondola. It was bearable if you weren’t spending much time in the room, but the place was old, dirty and cramped. I couldn’t believe they expected four people to fit in there. The sofa bed and a curtain barely divided the two spaces.
