The manor buildings are exquisite, and the location is quite convenient. The rooms were okay, the price was fair, and the self-catering setup can work well if you know your way around. But the owners weren't there during our stay because they had other obligations elsewhere. Maybe I'm old-fashioned, but getting a key from a coded box and having no one around for hospitality or help finding a restaurant missed the human touch for me. We arrived late on a high-season date and struggled to find somewhere to eat. The rooms and buildings have been renovated, though the fittings felt cheap and poor quality, and the lighting wasn't great. I can see that better, more durable fittings would take a bigger budget, but I think it would have been worth the investment. There were no amenities available. If you want a self-catering place, especially with kids, this could suit you. Personally, I prefer full hospitality, with breakfast and someone hosting us.

The hosts were very friendly and looked after their guests. When I had a small bike accident, they came to help straight away. We stayed in a beautifully decorated cottage that felt like home, with its own garden or terrace and parking spot right next to it. The building is charming, and the location is central for visiting Brittany's highlights. Mont-dol and Dol-de-Bretagne are lovely little towns just a five-minute drive away.

The manor is beautiful, and the host was great. It's a perfect place to get away and explore the villages and towns nearby. The Saturday market in Mont Dol is big, with lots of stalls, and well worth a visit. Try to see the boat graveyard too.

Such a cute, lovely cottage, and check-in was easy to do on our own. Sadly, there weren't any toiletries provided, not even hand soap.
