Aux Ducs De Sienne

We only stopped in for a cold drink and a bite during a bike ride around the St Emillion area, since we didn’t stay at the hotel. The young woman at reception was so friendly, found us seats on the patio, and brought our drinks while we looked across the valley toward St Emillion. The kitchen was closed until dinner, which was too late for us, but it was lovely to take a break before getting back on our bikes. The hotel looked clean and well cared for, and we’d probably stay here if we return to this part of France. Thanks to her for making our short stop so pleasant 😊

Lucy & Yaille made our Christmas holiday so enjoyable, with generous breakfasts and plenty of useful tips about the area, including places to visit in Bordeaux. The main drawback was the room: no minibar, and no complimentary water unless you ask at reception. Breakfast also needed better attention, since food, drinks, or cups were often missing and slow to come back. A poolside bar would be a welcome addition and surely popular. Still, we enjoyed our stay. It’s a charming, beautifully renovated small hotel, with warm, very friendly staff. The rooms are comfortable and tastefully decorated, the pool has breathtaking vineyard views, and there’s ample parking. We’d recommend it for the location, charm, and hospitality.

We loved unwinding on the balcony in the evening, having a drink under the stars and looking out over the infinity vineyards. It felt deeply relaxing. The room has a modern design and bedding to a five-star standard. Service staff were warm and elegant, and from the garden at their Michelin restaurant you can see sculptures and the swimming pool, which gives it a natural feel. The hotel is well placed too, just a 10-minute drive from the lively town. We’ll highly recommend it to friends visiting the Bordeaux area.
