The rooms are fine for an overnight stay, and automated check-in works well. It’s easy to get to from either direction on the motorway. There’s also a cheap fuel station with a supermarket next door. A standard room for Premier Classe.

I’ve read the other reviews and honestly don’t understand what the problem is. It’s a one-star hotel, so if you want luxury, look elsewhere. The room was clean, the location was good, and the staff were super nice and helpful. Breakfast had a good range of choices. It wasn’t a Swedish table, of course, since it’s still just one star, but it was good anyway. During the day you can hear people through the walls, but at night it was quiet. I’d love to visit again, and I think it deserves a better rating.

We’ve stayed at Premiere Classe hotels fairly often and are usually happy with the value, but this was one of the least enjoyable. The staff were pleasant and the room appeared clean, yet our twin room was far too small. We could barely move between or around the beds. Getting in wasn’t easy, and neither the site nor the main door was shut at night. The key card wasn’t needed to get into our room because it stayed unlocked unless we manually locked it from inside. We won’t stay there again. We’d rather spend a bit more to have room to move comfortably and feel secure.

I’ve already sent this request to bookings.com customer service, but I’m leaving it here too for information. I’d like a full refund for my reservation today. After checking in, I changed into comfortable clothes and lay down to rest. Soon my whole body started itching badly. I’d never had that happen before, so I spent a long time trying to work out why and eventually found lots of tiny bugs on the bed. They looked like dust even when I looked closely, and I had to zoom in with my phone camera to see they were bugs. I asked reception for a refund. They said the booking was non-refundable and that I needed to apply through bookings.com so they could help. They offered to move me to a better room, but I don’t want that. I’d like the refund as soon as possible.

Shanghaiied in Beaune The room was clean and the staff really were friendly, but the place just wasn’t worth the measly 20 francs saved by squeezing into its container-like cubicles. If you desperately need to save money, it may be OK. Otherwise, the rigid processes and standardization, blankets and surfaces, and especially the room size, 10m² /107ft² including shower&toilet, made it feel as though management was squeezing cents, workers and customers alike. It became too much for me. I’m not even getting into 'breakfast'. The main photo on Google shows Beaune’s main attraction, l’Hôtel-Dieu, rather than the hotel itself. I’d also hesitate to call a vending machine "dining". And the promised pool may exist nearby, or in Google hallucinations, but certainly isn’t on the premises of "Premiere Classe Beaune Sud". What a name, and what a hotel. Whoever named the chain, and whoever runs the place with this uncompromising focus on extracting maximum value from every small detail, deserves congratulations on a 39.5% profit margin. She/He/They should shake hands with Gong Zheng, mayor of Shanghai Municipal People's Government, owner of "Premiere Classe Beaune Sud", my favorite place not to be.
