Each room has its own theme, and if you can, ask for Genghis Kahn. The place is comfortable and clean, with lots of character, and run by a lovely guy. It’s a small spot just off the main road, with a great bar and restaurant down the high street. Handy for Caen, Bayeux and the Normandy/D Day beaches. Great choice.

We got there late in the afternoon after a day that had been, well, less than brilliant. They showed us to our room through the courtyard, and my troubles seemed to fade away. I spent an hour watching the fish in a pool that could have come straight from a Monet. In the morning we had a delicious French breakfast with homemade jams, and Mexican coffee. We bought some jam to take home. We’ll definitely be back to this gem.

The host was so pleasant, and both the rooms and breakfast room made us feel like we were travelling somewhere. The children and we loved it. We enjoyed our short stay and left wanting to come back and share the address with others. Many thanks to our host and his family for welcoming us.

We came for a wedding at the end of June and left with a wonderful memory. The welcome was very warm, and the rooms were beautifully decorated. Breakfast had plenty of variety and homemade products. Our host was happy to share his passion with guests, and the service was excellent. A delightful host and a place I highly recommend!
