Franck’s local tips made our stay even better, and the French bakery breakfast was a treat: fresh baguette, croissants and pain aux raisins. We brought our two-year-old Viszla, who loved the big garden, and the house is great for well-behaved dogs. Franck and his family gave us a warm welcome. The lounge has lovely tea and coffee, a substantial library, a pool table and a sauna. Be sure to look for the transcribed World War Two diary about the Dunkirk retreat. This 17th-century manor has been restored with real care, keeping a nice balance between old and new. We had a perfect stay. Thanks to Franck and his family.

The château is gorgeous, and you can tell the family puts a lot of work and love into it. The garden is beautiful, especially during the growing season. It’s ideally placed for visiting D-Day sites, Bayeux, Caen and Mt St Michele. Our room was well appointed, the service and amenities were top-notch, and breakfast was lovely. The host was also very helpful with local advice. Highly recommend staying here.

With only a few rooms, the place feels personal and private. The children could bounce on the trampoline in the pretty garden, swim in the raised pool or play billiards in the old cellar. The owner was friendly and served a delicious French breakfast in a lovely room. The château is tastefully renovated and appointed, in a small town near Bayeux.

Franck made us feel at home with how accommodating and helpful he was. Our room was very clean, and the place has plenty of charm even while renovations are still underway. Breakfast was delectable, and the cold cuts and cheese at dinner were sumptuous. We had a wonderful stay!

I stayed here with my father while we were travelling around Normandie. The owner was really friendly, the rooms were nice, and the garden was a lovely spot to relax with a drink. He also had some good restaurant tips for the area. A great bed and breakfast.
