We tried the €18 weekday evening menu, with starter, main, dessert and coffee, after visiting once on a weekend for à la carte. Both times the dishes were excellent in presentation, choice and flavor. The welcome and service were very pleasant, and it was rarely busy. We highly recommend this restaurant in Montaigu.

We had lunch on the terrace by the pool, but the experience was disappointing. The floor was strewn with leaves, and the oilcloth on the table made a cloth tablecloth seem preferable. We spent a long time in near darkness while the waiter, who was an extra, tried to figure out how to switch on the lights. The fish was monkfish instead of John Dory, and the promised virgin sauce came as pepper sauce. No, thank you.

We had a really pleasant time, and my partner loved his birthday meal. The waitress was fantastic and the service excellent. I wasn't as keen on the foie gras, which was much too salty for me, but everything else was delicious and served in generous portions.

A table on the terrace under the trees is especially lovely for lunch in spring or on a sunny summer day. I've been eating at Les Voyageurs since I started working in Montaigu more than twelve years ago, though Covid and then remote work mean I go less often now. The set lunch menu is very good, and there's a vegetarian option I haven't tried. There's usually something to choose from, whether the daily special or fish; if neither is available, the quality meat is a good alternative. The appetizer buffet and desserts deserve a mention too, their presentation has improved a lot. Thanks to all the friendly staff. Hervé
