The apartments are spacious, and the residence has a lift, which is a nice extra. Staff were friendly, and the place is in the heart of Montargis. We had a pleasant stay, but the value for money felt a bit lacking, and it's best not to expect luxury. The lobby ceiling was in poor condition, and a scooter was parked there with a smell of gasoline. The decor is minimalist and not very modern. There was only a curtain on the shower, no screen, so water ended up all over the bathroom. The sofa bed wasn't very comfortable, and the pillows were really poor quality. I had to ask for extra pillows for our second night. The room itself was spacious.

The location is good, but the city's parking rules are restrictive. Stay beyond three hours and you'll have to pay 27 euros!

The courtyard-facing side is very quiet, so ask for it when booking. This is a good middle ground between an apartment and a hotel, superbly placed in the city center, with excellent hotel-style service: towel changes, bed making, and daily housekeeping. There were some unpleasant smells in the building lobby when we arrived, which should be dealt with. The crockery also wasn't complete for four people.

I'd read the reviews and was worried before we arrived, but we were extremely happy with the price and location. There were no odd smells and plenty of towels: two small ones per person, two large ones, and a bath mat. The bathroom was clean and a normal size for a hotel. The TV was a decent size for facing the bed, though obviously not like being at a movie theater, and the bed was made when we arrived. The fridge noise was normal to me; at home you don't usually sleep so close to one. The welcome was very good.
