Abbaye des Capucins Spa & Resort

The old abbaye gives the hotel some great common spaces, and the staff were fairly friendly. My room had a simple, very “monasterial” feel, with green and purple colors. But there was constant noise during my one-night stay, apparently from the electric or maintenance room next door, or somewhere else. I chose this place expecting it to be especially quiet so I could sleep well. I’d also hoped breakfast would be served in the outside patio, but it was in an average-looking room. The hotel has a lot of potential that could be put to better use. I didn’t try the spa, so can’t comment on it.

There’s lots of parking, and the room was nice, though it took a long walk to get there from the main door. There was no fridge, and breakfast was expensive. Reception was slow, with only one person working there.

We stayed as a group, and met individual travelers who had plenty of good things to say about the hotel. Our room had everything we needed, and it’s a lovely place.

We visited in early September and paid around 100€ per night. The hotel is very large, with lots of rooms, a huge garden, and a pool in the middle. It’s a relaxing place and great for photos. We didn’t like the first room, even though it had just been renovated, because it was too small and dark. They moved us to an older but bright, spacious room overlooking the pool, which suited us perfectly. The location is great, and there’s free parking right outside.
