Mas Des Olivettes

We were really pleased with the place after booking through a Smartbox. The farmhouse is wonderfully quiet, set in nature, with a beautiful garden that’s clearly well maintained. Our room and bathroom had every comfort we could imagine, and the view of the Canigou mountain was magnificent. Breakfast was the one small letdown: apart from the homemade bread, there weren’t many local or homemade products. Still, we could eat outside in the garden, where there are several tables. We’ll recommend the place to our friends and family.

The accommodation was spotless, and we loved the excellent home-cooked meals. The owners paid us so much attention and made us feel welcome. We had a wonderful family holiday with the children. I highly recommend it!

The owner wasn’t very pleasant, and we came away feeling as if we were a bother. We booked Mas des Olivettes with a Wonderbox voucher, and the stay was a real disappointment. Our room felt old and rather tasteless, with two single beds pushed together, not ideal for a weekend away as a couple. The soundproofing was awful, and we could hear conversations from the next room. The meal included with the Wonderbox was very basic. We were charged extra for things we thought were part of it: four peanuts as an appetizer, a cheap cocktail, a glass of wine, and coffee. We also had to pay a tourist tax. I wouldn’t recommend Mas des Olivettes. There are much better places for a lot less.
