Camping Calme et Nature

Castellane nearby is magical, almost like a film set, and the gorges du Verdon are close too. This is a friendly, helpful campsite with beautiful views. The facilities are simple, but our kids loved the trampoline and little stream and let their imaginations run wild. It was great to have a restaurant onsite, with freshly made, delicious food. The caravan was a bit dated, so if you want more mod-cons, choose the pricier lodge. We didn’t mind given the price, and we’d come back.

We had a really nice stay. It’s peaceful, with pretty tent pitches and plenty of shade. We also had a little picnic table, which was great since we had limited equipment. The people were helpful and kind. You can walk to the village if you’re moderately fit, though the hill may be steep if walking is difficult for you.

A lovely setting and a great little campsite. It’s a well thought out, family-run place, with mobile homes, cabins and Safari tents, as well as pitches for your own tent or mobile home. Breakfast was simple but good, and there’s a bar for drinks plus a selection of meals. The whole family were friendly, welcoming and easy to get along with. I’d definitely go back.

After six weeks camping around France, this was probably our favourite site. The location is perfect, and the pitches by the creek are so relaxing. The staff were friendly and helpful, and there’s a nice little bakery for morning croissants. We stayed two nights but could happily have stayed longer. The bathrooms were good too.
