The breakfast was just how I like it, with plenty of good things, and the room was stylish and comfortable after the buildings were beautifully restored. The view is superb, and waking up there feels majestic. It’s only a few minutes by car from Montauroux, and you can reach the lake at St cassien on foot in a few minutes. I’m making a note to stay here on my next long work trip. It would save me the 90-100 minutes getting back to Antibes before returning to a client’s site the next day. One small thing, Orange reception is weak, but that’s fine. It helps you switch off.

It’s a lovely place, but quite isolated. Public transport is a long way off, and depending on the season there may be no restaurants nearby. Breakfast is served at a set time, with little room to adjust it. I also wish we’d been able to leave our luggage there during the day.
