Chartreuse des moulins

The bedrooms, beds, and bathrooms were all great, and there was loads of room for the kids to explore. We especially loved the terrace after dark, listening to the barn owl screech and watching it hunt. The views were lovely too, and bakeries, restaurants, lakes, and river beaches were all fairly close by. A couple of small things could be improved: maybe include a per-person kWh allowance in the electricity bill, charging extra only if guests go over it. The kitchen knives need sharpening, and the pots could use replacing.

Iris and Michael were so helpful, sharing great tips about the area and even booking us a table at a village fête. That evening became a lovely memory from our two-week family holiday. The Chartreuse des Moulins has loads of character and charm, while still being beautifully maintained and equipped for our family, including the three children aged 18 months to 8 years. We found plenty of excursions nearby for adults and children, and enjoyed balancing days out with relaxing at the villa and making use of its superb facilities. It was a truly memorable stay in a unique place. Thank you, Iris and Michael!

A warm swimming pool, beautiful views, and a peaceful setting made this a fantastic place to stay. The house is super luxurious, and there are plenty of nearby routes for hiking or running, plus a great restaurant within walking distance. The hosts were super too.

Everything seems to have been thought of at this beautiful place in France. The pool and hot tub are amazing.
