Hôtel restaurant les Templiers

Excellent.

The location is a real plus: the hotel is right by the train station and has accessible parking. But the rest fell short. The rooms are spacious, though badly maintained. This isn't a cleaning issue so much as a lack of upkeep: the shower leaks and is broken, and there's visible mold in the bathroom and even on the bedroom ceiling. The TV has only four or five channels that work. Wi-Fi is nearly unusable because it's so slow, and the thick walls make the 4G signal very weak. Reception felt unusual and seemed to depend a lot on the manager's mood. She appeared overwhelmed and could be downright unpleasant to some guests. The €9 breakfast was disappointing: a frozen croissant and pain au chocolat, jam in individual portions, commercial fruit juice, and basic coffee. Don't expect scrambled eggs. If you ask, the manager makes it clear she doesn't want to prepare them. There was also a persistent smell around reception, damp, dog, and tobacco, since the manager smokes indoors. Very unpleasant. The floor there needed scrubbing too, and the owner's? three dogs running around may have contributed. One odd detail: if you have a drink on the terrace, the restrooms are supposedly out of order for guests, though the manager can use them. 😄 The hotel has potential because of its location, but maintenance and customer service need a serious improvement. As things stand, I find it hard to recommend, and perhaps the manager should sell before the place deteriorates completely.

I only stayed one night, but it was an awful experience. The room felt like a cellar, with gnats everywhere, mold on the walls and curtains, and no bathroom light. It was disgusting and unsanitary, and I got sick after the stay. I strongly advise people to avoid this hotel. It's disgraceful that it's still operating.

Never again. Calling this a hotel is a stretch. It's just somewhere to get out of the rain and avoid sleeping outside. 😒😒😒😒😒
