ibis budget Montbéliard

We stayed here during a two-week trip when we mostly booked Ibis hotels, and this was easily the worst one. On arrival, our room hadn’t been made up, and it was smaller and less nice than the photos on the hotel website. The next morning, a staff member told me to eat in a separate room from the main dining area because I’m Asian. My husband is Caucasian, and only after he firmly pointed out that we’d booked the same room and should be able to eat together did the staff member back down.

The service was fine, but the rooms were awful and breakfast was bad. There aren’t any good places to eat nearby, either.

We’d booked a family room for four at Greet Hotel next door, but were moved to Ibis because of what they called a “mistake.” Ibis was just as old and worn out as the reviews said. Since they had no family rooms, we got two separate rooms: one had a noisy air conditioner, and the other smelled of cigarette smoke. We wouldn’t have chosen this place.

The bed was the only good part. We were in the middle of nowhere, the service was limited, and there was a bug in our room. Breakfast was awful, and the toilet had no ventilation and smelled really bad. This place isn’t worth coming to.
