ibis Styles Montbeliard Centre Velotte

The room was quiet and nice, facilities met our needs, and cleanliness was very good. We ate well at breakfast, though I’d have liked more British choices such as beans. It’s also a great base for exploring the area. Parking uses the city’s public lot, which is integrated well enough, but getting a new ticket every 24 hours was a bit complicated. I had trouble spotting the EV chargers, though that may have been my own oversight. One day, I came back to find the room had been entered and lightly cleaned even though I’d put out the Do Not Disturb sign. They’d also plugged the phone back in after I’d unplugged it, which felt unsettling.

We especially appreciated the early breakfast on our departure day. The hotel arranged it for 5:30 am so we could eat before checking out at 6. The breakfast itself was delicious and had plenty of variety. Our room was spacious and clean, with really comfortable beds. Nearby restaurants were within walking distance, and the family board games were a nice extra. There’s convenient underground public parking at 10 euros a day, which seemed quite reasonable. We had a fantastic stay at Ibis Styles Montbeliard.

The reception team spoke good English, and there are free EV charging spaces in the car park, using a two-pin European domestic 230V socket. Breakfast was good, though the one person running it seemed a bit busy but did his best. Our room was really good, with a double bed and two sofa beds for the kids, plus a large, clean bathroom.

We got a very warm welcome, and were glad to find the rooms large and clean. Everything is well maintained, and I liked the decor. Breakfast was organized well with the COVID situation in mind, with care taken to keep guests as safe as possible. The pastries were delicious and the coffee decent. I’m not sure we’ll return to Montbéliard, but if you’re going, I’d definitely recommend this hotel.
