B&B Le Deffends de Redon

The worst part was finding a camera in the bedroom. Nobody told us about it or asked permission. In some bedrooms it wasn't even pointed at the entrance, but at the bed. It was a very uncomfortable experience and stay, and I believe this is illegal. The landlady seemed to have two kinds of guests. Once she realized we'd found the camera, she treated us as if she disliked us: no greeting at breakfast, no friendly conversation, and she put the food down in front of us with a sour face. We felt extremely unwelcome. Even my 14-year-old daughter was treated badly, though she's a child. The booking confirmation said the rooms had a kitchen and fridge. In reality, there was access to a communal outdoor kitchen that was disgustingly filthy. The room itself was small, with no windows to open, and the toilet had no door, so everyone else had to leave the building when someone used it. There were lots of insects in the room, including huge spiders. It cost far too much for what we got. It's not a holiday flat like you might expect from the booking. Avoid it. The moody, unprofessional landlady made it awful, though it could be nice with a different owner.

A spectacular view, a great pool and facilities, and rooms that were cool and clean. Add a wonderful breakfast and a fantastic, welcoming host, and you've got everything for a fairytale-like holiday.

The hosts made us feel very welcome, and breakfast was plentiful with local products. Our room was tastefully decorated, with breathtaking views of Montbrun-les-Bains and Mont Ventoux. A magnificent bed and breakfast, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the region.
