Olydea les Sources

The staff were attentive to our well-being throughout my spa treatment stay in Montbrun-les-Bains, and they responded very well to our accommodation questions and concerns. The value for money was unbeatable. I was staying in an apartment, not a hotel. Many thanks to the team, though it’s a shame Olydèa no longer manages the accommodation at Hameau des Sources.

We’ve stayed here for years and it’s always been perfect before, but this visit left us very disappointed and angry. Several months ago, we requested two side-by-side apartments for personal but legitimate reasons, as he arranges every year, and were told we’d have them. At the last minute, ours were on the other side. When we raised it, the gentleman was very unpleasant and said they weren’t going to move everything for just one night, adding, “we never even booked for just one night.” We come for the night of the Chestnut Festival every year, and no one has ever made such a derogatory remark to us. His attitude had started two days before we arrived, when we called to ask him to repeat what type of coffee maker was in our accommodation, and he clearly didn’t want to do his job. Then, when we asked for shower soap, he huffed and said, “No, there’s none left,” without even checking for any. Last year the receptionist checked the stock room. We’ve never had trouble with anyone before and don’t think we’re difficult customers, but now we’re not sure we’ll return next year.

The apartment was simple but practical, and the pool was close by. In summer, I wish it stayed open longer during the day. The village, park, and children’s playground were all very close too. A car is essential, but there are plenty of places to see in nearby villages. My daughters and I had a wonderful time, and I highly recommend it.

The apartment was bright and very well equipped, with lovely mountain views, though the bedding could be better. Its position near the spa suited me perfectly. Sincerely, Mrs. Francini.
