La Maison de Cosi

I’ve stayed at Maison de Cosy for three years, and we often book rooms there for our children and friends visiting from abroad. The house is comfortable and tastefully decorated, the garden is exquisite, and the hostess is exceptionally kind and devoted. She does everything she can to make guests feel well cared for. So I’m astonished by the previous review. There must have been some kind of mistake.

The garden is lovely, especially with the house right in the city center. I always get a warm, attentive welcome at Maison de Cosi, and feel at home there. A good spot for a relaxing weekend less than an hour from Paris. Highly recommended.

I called on Saturday, May 13th, and booked a room for Thursday, May 25th. They took my card details for a 30% deposit without explaining the cancellation terms. Unless I missed them, those terms weren’t on the guesthouse website either. I cancelled on Friday, May 19th, with the usual apologies, and was then rather curtly told I’d be charged the full room price. I objected because no one had told me about those conditions, but they hung up despite my insistence. €125 was taken from my account. In my view, that disregards consumer law and is a dubious way to do business.

The colors, flowers, decor, and homemade jams all added to the feeling of peace and good taste in this house. You can tell there’s real pleasure in welcoming people here. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for such a warm welcome. C. Chiron - Paris
