The whole evening was amazing. We stopped in for a simple drink, then ended up trying the cuisine from the Relais de Montignac's Chef. The staff were kind and available, and the desk manager gave us a warm welcome. The building is tastefully decorated, and the well-lit parking at the back leads to the hotel’s rear entrance. We had the evening menu, a semi-gastro three-course meal for 40 euros. I was honestly amazed by the quality of the ingredients and the chefs’ savoir faire. It was all carefully designed and prepared to a really high standard, from the lovely tuna pre-starter to the pan-fried foie gras, duck breast, and dessert. Who serves food this good at that price? I was gobsmacked. Many thanks for sincerely wanting to please us.

The hotel is modern, tasteful, and spotless, and the staff were welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was fabulous. We didn’t have dinner, though it looked delicious.

The staff were warm, helpful, and considerate, and we really enjoyed the generous breakfast buffet with its good variety. We spent 11 days here while exploring the Vézère valley. Our spacious superior room looked out over the terrace and swimming pool, and was very clean, with a good bed and modern bathroom. The hotel is comfortable, and we’d be happy to come back.

I’m reviewing the restaurant, since I didn’t stay at the hotel. The food was excellent and such good value, and the service was prompt. We had a very enjoyable meal. The dining room felt a bit too bright and short on atmosphere, but that shouldn’t put you off trying the food.

The €39 set menu was great value for the quality, and there were a few specials on the blackboard too. We had a very enjoyable dinner at the refurbished hotel restaurant. The room was quite bright, though, and didn’t have much evening ambience.
