The photos don’t really match the place. It was a cheap stop for us on the way to the Atlantic coast, and with these kinds of places it’s a bit of a mystery, so you just have to roll with it. The desk girl was nice. She showed us the odd trick for the key card: insert it, wait for the green light, pull it towards you, take it out, then open the door. That earned the motel its three stars. The ceiling was very low, and somehow the room was split into two spaces despite being about the size of an average kid’s bedroom. My husband slept in the first “room,” which had a twin bed, Harry Potter style. The kids and I shared the “big” room with our dog. The internet worked great, and the tiny TV worked too, but the air conditioning didn’t, so we had to sleep with the big window open in the heat. We paid for breakfast, and it was low effort, but sometimes that’s just how it is.

The rooms have deteriorated in general condition, while the price has gone up. The staff weren’t welcoming. I went back specifically to stay here again, but it’ll be my last time.

We had a comfortable room with a view across town, and the staff were very friendly. The hotel’s a little run down and could use some work, but it suited us perfectly. Its best feature is the location, an easy walk into the old town. Good value for an overnight stop to break up a long trip.

I stayed for one night and found the room clean and comfortable. Clara, in particular, was kind and attentive, going out of her way to make sure I had a wonderful stay. Her thoughtfulness made it memorable. I’d recommend this hotel for a short visit.

The room looks okay at first, but don’t look too closely or the dust and grime start to show. The air conditioning unit especially made me wonder what might be growing inside it. It was hot and humid, and opening the window for fresh air meant lots of road noise, so this isn’t a place for a decent night’s sleep. Try the ibis across the road.
