Hôtel Inn Design Montluçon

The room and shower were clean, and there’s free parking with the cars kept safe. The keypad for the room is a pain to use and can be confusing, like asking for 12 reservation digits when 10 work. There was a big event with a roller coaster right beside the hotel, so check ahead if noise might bother you. It can go on until midnight, though heavy rain ended it early when I was there. The place is okay, nothing more.

We had a lovely walk by the river with our dog, right near the hotel. The bathroom was spacious, and the place was very clean overall. Free parking by the entrance was handy, and it was great for the price. Because of COVID-19, breakfast was take-away, with lovely French bread and croissants. I wasn't keen on the other items in the bag, but the staff handled it well given the circumstances.

We arrived late and couldn't get into the hotel because the entry code didn't work. The emergency number listed for help didn't work either. Another guest came out to assist us, but then his own code stopped working and he couldn't get back in. My wife and I found another hotel in town that was open. Hotel Inn Design Montluçon later confirmed they'd made a mistake, so I asked for my money back. It still hasn't been returned, and I don't consider them honest or trustworthy. I was extremely disappointed. Friends, don't stay at Hotel Inn Design Montluçon.

We slept comfortably through the night, with no noise from inside or outside. The receptionist was very welcoming, and having several sockets for chargers was useful. We stayed at B&B Hotel in Montlucon for one night on 31st August. The room was smaller than expected, especially with our dog, but it was adequate. The broken toilet seat made using it very uncomfortable. The shower head had only two positions, high up or down at small-child height, with nothing in between, so I couldn't keep my hair dry. An adjustable vertical bar would work better. That seems like a bathroom design flaw rather than an issue unique to this hotel.
