La mare aux canards

We had a lovely breakfast, and Françoise and Gérard were perfect hosts. We stayed for a week in the scorching summer with our 3-month-old baby, and the room stayed cool and pleasant. That made it easy to explore the area, including the bird park right next door. We’re already looking forward to coming back for another game of pétanque!

The homemade breakfast was generous, hearty, and really good quality, a big plus for us. We only stayed one night while passing through, but we were warmly welcomed, slept well in a quiet, lovely room, and would definitely recommend it. Les Gadjios ;)

We were grateful to Françoise and Gérard for making the stay so enjoyable. They’re welcoming and very friendly. The breakfasts were generous, delicious, and varied, all homemade. There’s a beautifully kept wooded garden with a carp pond, and the room was roomy, comfortable, and had good bedding. A charming, very peaceful place. We highly recommend this guesthouse.

The hosts made us feel genuinely cared for, and breakfast was served with affection on lovely tableware. It was homemade and excellent quality, especially the cakes. The place has so many cozy corners for relaxing, with hammocks, deckchairs, and armchairs, and the bedding was very comfortable. The decor is full of finesse and taste, reflecting the hosts’ style and travels. It’s a wonderful, peaceful spot close to the bird park in the beautiful Dombes region. Bikes, boules, and card games are available too. Congratulations, and thanks for such a lovely time.
