The owners were warm and welcoming, and we had a great time. The caravan is beautifully decorated in wood and has a real charm to it. A unique place that’s definitely worth spending a night or more in. The bed was a little stiff, though.

The breakfast was a bright spot: tasty homemade jams, good coffee, generous portions, and it arrived when we asked. We slept fine despite the firm mattress and wooden slats. Inside, the wood decor is lovely and it’s well equipped, though the caravan wobbles and shakes when you walk around. Its door doesn’t line up properly, so drafts get in, which seems best avoided in winter. It sits in the owners’ garden, opposite their house, though they keep to themselves. The welcome was disappointing compared with what I’d expected from earlier reviews; the staff seemed unfriendly and nonchalant. When the toaster caused a power cut, we had to go to the owners’ house to get it turned back on, and we felt as if we were bothering them and being blamed. It wasn’t a terrible stay, but we wouldn’t recommend it.

The caravan was nicely laid out, but it’s too close to both the road and the owners’ house. The welcome felt cold, with not even a smile. The toaster incident made me feel like I was a real nuisance, which was frustrating. Otherwise, I might have written the same review as the one before.

I’m strongly against booking here. I called in January to reserve one night in May, but the host said she wasn’t taking bookings that far ahead and told me to call back in early March. When I explained that it might already be full by then, she said it wouldn’t be. I called again at the end of February, and, just as I’d expected, it was full. When I said I was unhappy, the host rudely brushed me off without offering any solution. There was a lot of aggression for a tourist welcome. To me, this kind of work calls for a real vocation, not just a way to make a living. For warmth and a sense of hospitality, this isn’t the place to knock. I can only suggest the host find another line of work.

It was a lovely stay in a well-equipped caravan, and the owners made us feel welcome. The surroundings were peaceful, and the place is near Beaune and Dijon. You’ll want a car.
