Hôtel Restaurant De La Place

We tried to book for four on a Friday in the late afternoon, but the owner gave us a cold reception and simply said no, saying they were full that evening. The next day, the baker next door told us the restaurant had been far from full. I found the owner's manners completely lacking. Then on Sunday afternoon, we stopped by hoping to have a drink on the terrace and got the same icy treatment. Three regular beers and a mint-flavored water came to €15. I have no positive memories of the place and definitely wouldn't recommend it. It's scheduled to close permanently at the end of October, and I think it's high time the owner retired.

The food and champagne were exquisite, proper French cooking made with real love for good food. The prices reflect the quality of the ingredients without going overboard. The place also still has its original charm, with decor that fits its rustic character perfectly.

Both the sea bass and sweetbreads were cooked perfectly. We had a very good dinner on a Friday night, which we hadn't expected. We're giving it 4 stars because the food was a little too salty for our taste, though that's typical of local cuisine.

The €42 menu was excellent, and the service was impeccable. The person who served us was really friendly. We booked a table for two on February 17th. We regularly visit Logis de France and are always satisfied, so I highly recommend this Logis de France.
