Aparthotel Adagio Montpellier Centre Comedie

The reception team were really friendly and answered all the questions and requests my mum and I had during our week in the one-bedroom apartment. When we arrived, the place looked clean and well organised, and the bedding was very comfortable. There were several problems in the room, though. The fridge was almost warm, apart from ice build-up at the back, and the dishwasher didn't work. The TV only showed satellite channels because the WiFi wouldn't connect. There was a Nespresso machine, but each pod cost €2, which seemed crazy when a whole sleeve costs around €4-€6. The machine was dirty too, with growth or mould in the insert area.

Getting there by car was the one thing I wouldn't recommend. Access is difficult because the centre of Montpellier is a closed zone, and the garage is small and cramped, so it's easy to damage a car. Otherwise, the hotel made a very positive impression: the service and room were fine, breakfast was great, and the location was excellent. The refurbished building and its standard surprised us in a good way.

The apartments were clean and very quiet, and the location was excellent. Breakfast, though, was much too noisy and disorganized, and problem solving wasn't the best. It depends on what you need. For a solo professional looking for calm, time to reflect, and a tight schedule, this probably isn't the best fit.

The hotel's central location and lovely courtyard seating and dining area were highlights. The room was spacious and clean, with good facilities. Reception staff were excellent and helpful.
