A budget hotel with a very good breakfast. The room was okay, and so was the bathroom.

The staff were super friendly and nice, but that was the only good part of our stay. We’ve used B&B hotels many times in Spain and France and had good experiences until this one. Reading their replies to bad reviews, where they say they learn from feedback, made us think things might be better, but that clearly wasn’t the case. Our room was the most cramped I’ve ever stayed in. There was almost nowhere to move or put anything except under the bed. The bathroom was tiny too, though at least the shower was large. The sheets and towels seemed clean, thankfully. The toilet, though, was filthy, with small splashes of excrement visible under the seat and something nasty and brown running from the cistern into the bowl. The soap holder was broken, so the bottle sat beside the basin and had to be picked up and squeezed. It left an unhygienic residue on the only surface available for a wash bag. The public toilet by breakfast wasn’t much better, with black grime and hairs around a basin that looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a week. My husband had breakfast and I didn’t, but B&B breakfasts are usually good value. This one didn’t measure up. Apples were the only fresh fruit, the bacon was cold and rubbery, and there were queues for the single juice machine and coffee machine. We paid 85€ for a tiny room and dirty facilities, much more than we’ve paid for B&B Hotels of a far better standard. At 30€ I’d have expected what we got and wouldn’t have been surprised. Charging 85€ for this in an industrial location isn’t acceptable. I rarely leave bad reviews, since poor service can be a one-off or temporary, but given this experience and the hotel’s previous replies to customers, I feel justified in writing this.

Getting there takes the #2 tram and then the #51 bus. The area is isolated, so I’d suggest picking up food before heading to the hotel. I booked at the last minute and paid about 60 euros a night in late July for a decent room. It had hot water, a good-pressure shower, a towel, and okay air conditioning. The code entry was great, no physical key to carry. There was no handwash in the room, which was odd, and the carpet had stains in a couple of spots.

We had a very positive stay and would absolutely recommend the hotel. Our room for four was spacious, and the bathroom was fine. The only thing that could be better was the room cleaning.

Everything else about the stay was great, especially the receptionist, the breakfast staff member, and the breakfast itself. My only concern was the setup for two: the bed and bathroom were prepared for one, with the second set left to the side. We managed, but when I took the second pillow down from above the hanger closet, a piece of Kleenex came with it. I didn’t check whether it had been used, and we just left it there. Thank you.
