The cleaner was nice, which is why I can call the place okay at all. We couldn't reach anyone by phone when we were trying to get the room keys, and afterward one key was missing, so one of our group had to stay somewhere else. There was no shower curtain, several things were rusty, and quite a few lights didn't work. The cleaner came by the next morning, asked if I needed anything, and mopped the floor. That part was nice.

We'd already canceled through bnb and booked somewhere else by the time the owner finally got in touch at 3pm on arrival day. Before that, there'd been no useful communication to arrange check-in, despite us trying repeatedly. Avoid this place. Don't book unless you like the prospect of being stranded.

The room didn't look like the photos on the booking site. The dish cupboard was stained and hadn't been maintained, and the bed was too cramped compared with what was shown. For the price, the quality just wasn't there.

Run away from this place. We booked on August 21, 2023 for August 22, then realized it wasn't a hotel and contacted Booking.com to cancel. They said they'd reach out to the owner, but got no reply, and then told us to try calling him ourselves. We called over and over for three days without an answer. On August 23, 2023, the owner finally texted to say there'd be no refund. We and Booking.com had notified him first thing on August 22, so the room's availability hadn't been affected. He still refused any compensation, which would have been a decent gesture. The customer service and treatment here badly need improvement. I strongly advise against renting from him. In my view, at the first mistake he'll take the chance to make money from you even though he hasn't provided any service.
