ibis Montpellier Centre Polygone

The room was small but comfortable and had everything I needed for a three-night business trip. The restaurant downstairs was convenient, and its staff were remarkable. Two things brought my rating down. First, a cleaner opened my room door without knocking, which was frightening. I reported it at the front desk and asked that no one clean my room after that. Then on my last morning, after I slept in, the ham at breakfast was covered in flies. I'd eaten breakfast early on the previous days and it had seemed fine; the other items looked fine too. Still, that was disgusting and absolutely not okay, especially at the price they charge for breakfast.

The staff were nice and the hotel is well located, so it was fine. The room was very hot even though it was over 30 degrees Celsius outside, and we could hear every sound from the hallway. If I'm being picky, the bathroom and shower both had no door, and parking was expensive.

The food and rooms were good, and the rooms were clean, though a little small. The location was very good too.

The reception and ground floor were fine, and the hotel's location was convenient, but room 210 really disappointed me. The shower had no door, so it was impossible to use it without splashing a lot of water onto the bathroom floor. There were gaps between some floorboards, the walls needed repainting, and three toilet seat brackets were broken. The TV looked dated and had a faded picture. The problems kept adding up. I've had good stays at other IBIS hotels, but this room fell far below what I expected.
