Le Bois de Montpouillan

After a full day cycling, the pool was just the thing for unwinding, with its two sections. We were made to feel at home by a really warm host, and the hearty meal of seasonal local food was lovely. Such a charming house, and a wonderful stop on our trip.

Anne-Laure was so cheerful and attentive, and made sure we had what we needed. Her generous cooking was part of that, from breakfast through dinner. The room itself was spacious and beautifully furnished, set in a pretty flower garden. We also enjoyed the calm, pleasant pool, with a summer kitchen guests can use. Highly recommend it.

The peaceful green setting made this a lovely break from the bustle, and it felt restorative. Our room was spotless, nicely decorated, and had all the comforts we needed. The host was kind and attentive throughout. It’s a beautiful, distinctive place where you quickly feel at home. I’d happily come back, and recommend it for a getaway.

The breakfasts and other meals were excellent, and the amenities were top-notch. We spent four nights here with our 11-year-old daughter and found the place truly magical. Anne-Laure is lovely and very accommodating, and our host took great care of the property and looked after us attentively. We highly recommend it.
