Les Hauts de Montreuil

Le Patio’s courtyard, lit with a warm golden glow, made for a romantic and peaceful evening. It was quiet enough to talk, while still having a sophisticated buzz. We spent a lovely evening there, and this was certainly one of the best dinners we’ve had in Northern France. If you’re celebrating an anniversary, a birthday, or just the joy of being in France, book a table. It’s an experience you won’t forget.

The Hôtel is stunning, and the restaurant is exceptional. We’d stayed three times before without any problems, but this visit was different. Our room faced the cobbled road at the front of the hotel, the main route through montreuil. The shutters and double glazing didn’t block the traffic noise, and I didn’t sleep at all.

We can’t wait to go back. This is our favourite hotel in all of France, and we try to call in whenever our travels take us anywhere nearby. On our recent visit, we asked to switch rooms and it was handled immediately, without fuss. The updated bedrooms are smart and comfortable, with good facilities. The buildings have plenty of character and have been modernized with great care. The food is the jewel in the crown. It’s always a joy to look at and eat, beautifully presented and so tasty. The cheese “chariot” is something to behold. Breakfast in the wonderfully designed breakfast room is great too, with lots of fresh, delicious options served with a smile. The reception staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful. The whole team, professionally led by the owners, is knowledgeable and brilliant at making a visit memorable and delightful. We’ve never found anything to criticize.

We stayed one night in this fabulous, stunning hotel. The bedroom was lovely, with a spacious ensuite, and there’s secure private parking. Very good service from friendly, helpful staff. Would recommend.
