Construction workers started using jackhammers at 8 a.m. on the seventh day of our booking to put up beer stands, and we learned the bar around the chalet was about to open. The Mont Amour company manager said she hadn’t known about it, then agreed at 8:50 a.m. to refund our last three nights if we left by 10 a.m., warning she’d charge us for a late checkout otherwise. We left, despite the trouble of finding a hotel at the last minute, but a month later the full refund still hadn’t arrived. A rip-off!
