ibis Paris Porte d'Orléans

The room was so small, and I wouldn't recommend staying here. There wasn't even a kettle or a bottle of water on arrival, and there was no bin in the room. The plastic-feeling bedsheets didn't make it feel like a proper bed. Luggage storage also costs money, both before check-in and after check-out, using paid lockers. With Silver status from frequent travel with the group accord, I usually get a drink at the bar. Here I was given only a bottle of water or Coca-Cola to have in the room. Really poor quality. I've stayed in many ibis budget and Formule 1 hotels that were better than this one.

The buffet was disappointing, with very little food and not much variety. The rooms are basic and tiny, with no kettle or even a complimentary bottle of water. Customer service was average, with nobody seeming willing to go the extra mile. The one standout was the Egyptian guy at the bar, who was top notch and a real human being.

I was staying in room 732 on the seventh floor, and want to thank Ms Clara Legrain for helping me sort out a situation with a guest. She showed empathy during a difficult situation and was kind and helpful to both me and the EACS team. It felt like real hospitality and a human touch. Mr Francis at reception was also especially helpful and kind, as were the rest of the staff. Thank you to the hotel.

The breakfast had little variety and wasn't good quality. My room and bedding were dirty, the bathroom smelled unpleasantly of drains, and the pillows felt stuffed with straw. This was one of my worst stays in an ibis. I'd only suggest this hotel to someone who wants to risk an infection or breathe in all the dust inside.
