The owner is so kind and welcoming, and a full breakfast is included: croissants, pain au chocolat, toast or regular bread, brioche, muffins, yogurt, coffee, hot chocolate, and orange juice. The room has a lovely out-of-time feeling, almost like an English bed and breakfast. There are games and books about the region, plus tea, a kettle, and small bottles of water.

We got a very warm, friendly welcome, and breakfast was generous. Our room was at the back of a large house by the Loire, so it was very quiet.

We only managed one night because availability was limited, but we'd definitely come back for longer. The Prieuré is right by the Loire and feels splendid, peaceful, and restorative, like a boat moored at the dock. Marie, our hostess, was attentive, lovely, and gave us a warm welcome. The spacious room had a welcome tray, small bottles of water, a kettle, tea, and toiletries including cotton swabs, cotton balls, and tissues. There was also a mini-fridge and microwave. Outside, we could use the enclosed private garden with sun loungers, a table, and garden chairs. Breakfast was delicious and served with regal flair. We loved it. We stopped spontaneously at the priory on the night of April 17th to 18th, and were so glad we did. The host was very welcoming, and the Loire view at breakfast was magnificent. Breakfast was excellent, too. It's ideally placed for visiting wineries such as Bourgueil and St. Nicolas. Thank you for your hospitality!
