We spent summer at Chalet Matsuzaka and had a fabulous time. La Rosiere stays open in summer and has plenty to do, with walks and cycling nearby that are easy to get to. It’s also close to the Italian border, and the drive over Le Col de Petit St Bernard to La Thule is well worth it. The chalet itself feels warm and homely, with spectacular views over the Alps. Our hosts were wonderful, generous with their time, and really committed to making the holiday memorable. They’re great cooks too, and every meal was first rate. I can highly recommend Chalet Matsuzaka for an Alps holiday.

Faye and Mike were wonderful hosts, always ready to answer questions and help with whatever we needed. They also gave us useful advice for our ski day in Italy, which made a real difference. Breakfast was a favorite, and I loved Faye’s healthy, delicious cooking. We had a fabulous, relaxing five days at Chalet Matsuzaka in January 2022, traveling with my 18-year-old son. The cozy Savoyard twin room suited us perfectly, and everything felt easy and organized, from our stay to relaxing in the indoor and outdoor Japanese baths. Spa times were booked privately to comply with Covid rules. We’ll definitely be back to La Rosière, Les Eucherts, and Chalet Matsuzaka.

The spa is quiet and a lovely place to ease sore muscles. These family-friendly self-catering apartments are ski-in, ski-out for most units, and just a 2-3 minute walk from the others. We had very deep snow during our stay, but the staff worked hard to keep things as accessible as possible.
