Cala di Sognu

The apartment is thoughtfully furnished in a shabby-chic style and has everything in a small space. Outside, there's a private pool with a bathroom, plus a private beach with fine sand and exceptionally clear, clean water. Parking is included and there's plenty of it. In the village there's a supermarket, though I'd go 10 km to Leclerc, which is much cheaper. There's also an excellent bakery and pastry shop near the residence, and I recommend Chic Burger. It's near Bastia and within reach of the lovely beaches around Ghisonaccia and Aleria. Corte is an hour away, while Île Rousse, Saint-Florent, Porto Vecchio, and Bonifacio are two hours away. Ajaccio and the west coast take a little longer. A beautiful place to stay if you're visiting this area.

The pool is nice and peaceful, and the residence is quiet with little noise. The location is good, though the beach has pebbles, and some people can be a bit odd at times. Finding a parking space can be tricky. I still recommend the place.

I was there five years ago and rented a fabulous apartment. The woman in charge was friendly and very helpful. I can't say whether that same apartment is still available, since there are other places in the same price range now. The price competition is starting!

A wonderful residence right on the beachfront. It was very quiet at this time of year.
