We booked a renovated “confort” room for three at hotel les montagnards and had a very nice stay. Breakfast was amazing, with Comte cheese and a smoky ham whose name I don't know. The owner was so kind and helped us find museums and hiking spots nearby. Merci!

It was quiet, and the family room was big enough for our one-night stop. The beds were new but so hard that we didn't sleep well, and the older bathroom had lots of fungus between the tiles. Breakfast was nice, with different breads and croissants, several juices, and a coffee machine offering various preparations.

I can't speak to the hotel's usual service, but after I crashed my bicycle yesterday morning, my camping gear was stuck with the bike at the local gendarmerie, which was closed. The owner was incredibly kind. With other hotels full, he called around and eventually found me a place to stay. I don't know where I'd have slept without his help, and I'm very grateful.
